Motivational Monday
This week I have made great strides in my own journey towards health and full living. I have been having some setbacks over the last few months and progress has been slow. Hiccup after hiccup, I would feel myself settling into the old routine of self-doubt, self-ridicule, self-pity. I do not know what triggered my stride to change, but it did this week. I had a breakthrough of some sort. I feel a natural shift and honestly, it feels incredibly good!
Now, please understand, I am not perfect and I have had minor “slips” this past week but the progress has far outweighed the slips. I have had more energy this weekend than I have in the past two months combined. I feel very powerful on this Monday morning and have already completed two 15 minute workouts with plans to fit two more in today. It isn’t easy, folks. I am telling you, it won’t be. But please hear me when I say it is worth the work. I am seeing and feeling the difference since I have put the work in this week. Such a simple yet necessary realization.
We get so involved in wanting to change the world and fix everyone that we ultimately forget to take care of ourselves. If we don’t take care of ourselves, we really have nothing in us to help change the world or fix everyone. We must fix ourselves first!! It is okay to be selfish for part of your daily routine. Take time out just for you. It is sincerely a necessity if you want to change your life.
So today, I want you to remember to take time out of your day to nurture your mind and body. Feed your soul. Be proud of your accomplishments, no matter how big or small. You are making progress. Keep going!! Namaste.
