What Matters Most

The little things do matter.

rak8Share a smile. Give a compliment. Extend a helping hand. Hold the door open. Send a “thinking of you” card/message. Use manners. Speak kindly. Pray for a stranger.

Often times we get too wrapped up in our own idea of what a Random Act of Kindness is and thinking if we don’t go all out or do something big or spend a lot of money that it isn’t worth it.

Wrong.

You don’t have to go shopping. You don’t have to spend a penny. You don’t have to search Pinterest night and day looking for the most amazing thing you can DIY so that people will throw compliments back your way.

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. –Colossians 3:12

– It is more blessed to give than to receive. -Acts 20:35b

– Let us not lose heart in doing good. -Galatians 6:9a

Let love of the brethren continue.  Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. –
Hebrews 13:1-2

– Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.  Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. -Philippians 2:3-7
