Spirit Hunger

I am reading Spirit Hunger by Gari Meacham and I felt as though I was asked to share, so I am.

“We can have peace (John 14:27). Circumstances may shift, but God doesn’t. We are protected by his peace, a peace that transcends human understanding, even if we are in the midst of confusion or chaos. Peace is the comfort that looks confusion in the face and gently smiles. God fills us with the assurance that he is bigger than our circumstances.”

“God doesn’t cause scars; humanity and sin do. But what if he could turn our scars into healed tissue that functions better than before? What if he could take a scar in our life and offer healing for the wounded tissue in another’s life? We’re worth so much more than our scars!”

So, the personal message laid on my heart after reading this is –

Rise above your circumstances, friends. Pierce the layers of scar tissue and let your story be healing balm for someone who struggles to find their footing in a peace that is theirs for the taking. Show them a path that is worth walking, better yet, take their hand and walk with them. Have a blessed weekend! Much love.
